FOR KUMANG GAWAI
KUMANG GAWAI MUST REPRESENT ONE (1) OF 3 (THREE) RACE CATEGORIES (COMPULSORY)
RACE CATEGORIES:
1) Iban

2) Bidayuh (Jagoi/Selako/Sadong/Biatah)

3) Orang Ulu (Kenyah/Kayan/kelabit/Berawan/Kiput)

* Sarawakian female (married or single)
* Pleasant personality
* Age above 18 and below 30 years old.
* Each kumang gawai must wear skirt on registration day (No pants allowed) COMPULSORY ( # )
* Each kumang must wear high heel (Not less than 3'inch) COMPULSORY ( # )
* Sandals should be in black color: During all trials and competition days. COMPULSORY ( # )

 FOR KELING GAWAI
* Sarawakian male (married or single)
* Age 18 and below 30 years old.
*Pleasant personality

 Upon registration, applicants must bring along:
*Registration fee; Rm30 (payment during walk-in registration day.(2nd May 2009)
Venue: MATIC ( Pusat Pelancongan Kuala Lumpur-next to ZOUK KL )
* Replacement not allowed after final registration.
* Fees non refundable
*1 copy of full figure photo, minimum 4R size.
* A passport size photo.
* Persatuan Warisan Sarawak KL will not bear responsibility for any loss or damage to personal items belonging  to participants throughout the whole duration of the event.

Important Notes:

1. All participants are allowed ONLY ONE personal assistant during all the trials.
2. TRADITIONAL COSTUMES WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY ORGANIZER

a)  Kumang Gawai Bidayuh winner :
     * Walks away with:  RM1500.00 cash /a trophy and a shawl

b)  Kumang Gawai Iban winner:
     * Walks away with:  RM1500.00 cash /a trophy and a shawl

c)  Kumang Gawai Ulu winner:
     * Walks away with:  RM1500.00 cash /a trophy and a shawl.

Note: Only one crowned Kumang for each category. There are no 1st & 2nd runner up for kumang.

2) Keling winner, 1st and 2nd runner up are selected from any three categories(i.e. selection is made on an overall basis, regardless of the categories)
a) Keling walks away with:  RM1500.00 cash /a trophy /
b) 1st runner up walks away with:  RM700.00 cash /a trophy /
c) 2nd Runner up walks away with:  RM500.00 cash /a trophy /

3) Miss Photogenic Kumang Gawai
Walks away with:  A shawl & Rm500.00 cash

4) Mr. Photogenic Keling Gawai
Walks away with:  A shawl & Rm500.00 cash

5) Miss Favourite Kumang Gawai (Based on Online Voting)
Walks away with:   A shawl & Rm500.00 cash

6) Mr. Favourite Keling Gawai (Based on Online Voting)
Walks away with:  A shawl & Rm500.00 cash
